Job Overview
We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our Submissions Manager Product Management team and own product vision and strategy for Submissions Manager, the company’s AI-powered platform for managing commercial insurance submissions in Epic.
Submissions Manager is the company’s AI-powered platform to manage commercial submissions in Epic, the world’s most widely used insurance agency management system. As the foundation of the company’s strategy to remove friction between agencies and carriers, it centralizes the distributed channels insurance agents use to conduct business and brings transparency to the agency-carrier trading relationship. By stripping the manual work out of agencies’ commercial insurance submissions, Submissions Manager improves the quality of what carriers receive and helps more business get written faster. We’re looking for someone who brings expert product intuition, a track record of delivering business outcomes for a B2B product embedded in a broader platform ecosystem, and a drive to build experiences that make agents’ lives meaningfully better every day. The decisions you’ll drive will impact thousands of commercial lines agents on Epic and contribute to business outcomes for agencies and carriers alike.
What You’ll Do
- Define and lead the product vision and long-term strategy for Submissions Manager, grounded in a deep understanding of the problems it solves for our agency personas and where it sits between the marketing process and the bind workflow of commercial submissions
- Own adoption and activation strategy — understand what drives agencies to adopt Submissions Manager and users to activate within it, and set product direction that changes that behavior at scale
- Identify and prioritize research initiatives with users and design partners, using what we learn to validate hypotheses and guide product direction with cross-functional and senior product leadership
- Oversee cross-functional execution across design, engineering, product marketing, customer experience, and operations, resolving complex dependencies and keeping multiple initiatives aligned and moving
- Lead execution across a dynamic, multi-team environment, anticipating roadblocks before they surface and removing them with minimal oversight
- Proactively identify and own integration opportunities with adjacent company product areas — particularly upstream placement channels and downstream bind workflows — driving roadmap alignment through influence
- Own roadmap prioritization and product requirements within Submissions Manager, ensuring engineering and design always have a deep, shared understanding of what we’re building and why
- Define and track the metrics that matter, and communicate product strategy aligned with key business outcomes clearly to executive leadership and senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Experience owning a B2B workflow product — multi-step, multi-role processes with handoffs between users, where success means real work getting done faster and with less effort
- 7-10 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning strategy and delivering outcomes at scale for a product or product suite
- Deep empathy for users paired with practiced user research skills — identifying core pain points, prioritizing research topics, running discovery, and synthesizing findings into long-term strategy
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to lead product instrumentation and turn data into insight-led narratives for senior and executive stakeholders
- Experience mentoring or informally guiding other product managers
- Exceptional written communication — strategic narratives, executive summaries, and business cases that influence senior leadership decisions
- Familiarity with Agile development and tools like Jira and Confluence
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience building products embedded within larger platform ecosystems (e.g., Salesforce apps, Microsoft 365 add-ins, ERP extensions)
- Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows — having shipped features involving AI automation, and an understanding of the trade-offs in keeping humans in the loop
- Insurance industry experience is a genuine plus, but it’s not a prerequisite — we’ll teach you the domain
Annual Salary Range $135,000–$210,000 USD
