THE WORK
As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for enabling the effective functioning of a software development team using Agile methodologies. Your day-to-day activities will include coaching and mentoring the Scrum Team or Teams, removing obstacles to successful implementation, and maintaining a strong focus on project goals. You will facilitate scrum and agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, while identifying and reporting progress through appropriate metrics. You are expected to be a subject matter expert, collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively, take responsibility for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, contribute to key decisions, and provide solutions to problems within your immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Take ownership of specific areas within the Agile delivery process to ensure smooth and timely completion of tasks.
- Support and guide less experienced colleagues by sharing knowledge and best practices related to Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Contribute expert insights to improve team workflows and enhance overall project delivery quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analyze recurring challenges and propose innovative solutions to optimize team performance
Role requires 3-4 days/week onsite in Jersey City, NJ
HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Minimum of 9 years of work experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as Scrum Master
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Atlassian JIRA
- Minimum of 6 years of experience using Agile methodologies
- Associates Degree
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Experience in Atlassian Confluence
- Banking Finance Domain Knowledge
- Bachelors Degree
Hourly Salary Range $75.00 to $85.00
