Position Overview

We're hiring a Director, Product Marketing — Carrier for a hybrid role (1-2 days a week in-office) with occasional travel, leading product marketing strategy for the company's carrier-facing portfolio. This is a strategic role as the carrier segment is a key growth vector, and this leader will own product positioning, launch strategies, and product marketing team leadership, partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, and Marketing to drive growth with insurance providers globally.

This role operates with a builder's mindset — the carrier function is earlier in its scale curve and offers a clear path to senior leadership growth as the business expands. To keep us headed in the right direction, we're looking for people who understand winning is a team sport, who value and seek to learn from our team's diverse experiences and backgrounds, who welcome a challenge and take risks in the pursuit of creating better outcomes for our customers, and who can, at any given time, step back to laugh and have some fun.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategy & Vision — Set the product marketing strategy for the carrier segment, aligned to the company Carrier portfolio strategy and growth priorities. Own positioning, narrative, and market direction for carrier buyers across Cytora, Ivans, and all carrier-facing capabilities globally.
  • Product Storytelling — Translate complex, technical carrier capabilities (e.g., underwriting risk data, core system integrations) into narratives and visuals that a non-technical executive can grasp in one read. Own the visual language in diagrams, one-pagers, demo narratives
  • Product Brand Architecture — Own the naming and brand architecture decisions across Cytora, Ivans, and the broader company Carrier portfolio, defining how these products relate to each other and to the company's brand in market.
  • Team Leadership — Build, lead, and develop a team of product marketers covering Cytora and Ivans product portfolios. Build a culture of excellence through scalable programs, outcome-based accountability, and continuous learning. Establish the carrier PMM operating model and prepare the function for scale as the business grows.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership — Partner with Product Management and Operations leadership as a trusted strategic advisor on roadmap, positioning, and pricing decisions for the carrier portfolio. Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Demand Gen to ensure PMM output drives pipeline, competitive win rate, and adoption across the carrier segment.
  • Product Launch & GTM — Govern the launch process for carrier-facing products, ensuring cross-functional alignment and achievement of desired outcomes.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence — Drive carrier market intelligence and competitive positioning as part of the broader PMM competitive program. Partner with Corporate Communications and business leaders to build relationships with industry analysts focused on the carrier and insurtech ecosystem.
  • Win/Loss & Customer Insights — Own a systematic win/loss and customer research program for the carrier segment, feeding findings into positioning, roadmap input, and competitive strategy.
  • Performance — Own and report on PMM-influenced business metrics for the carrier segment: pipeline contribution, win rate, adoption, and launch outcomes. Define and track the metrics that determine continued investment in the segment.
  • AI-Forward Operating Model — Champion and contribute to company PMM's use of AI tooling, custom skills, and scalable systems to compound team impact.
