Position Overview
We’re searching for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team in a hybrid working environment out of our Chicago, IL office. What You’ll Do
- Own and lead the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting process, serving as the primary administrator of the Vena Financial System — including P&L governance and cycle management across business units
- Drive the monthly/quarterly close process, producing executive-ready operating materials including variance analyses, bridge explanations, and management commentary that tie actuals to plan/forecast
- Serve as a strategic finance business partner to internal stakeholders — proactively monitoring company performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering financial insights that influence decision-making
- Spearhead automation and process improvement initiatives across daily and monthly reporting workflows, reducing cycle time and increasing forecast accuracy
- Manage and synthesize large datasets, building scalable models and analyses that surface meaningful trends and directly inform business strategy
- Champion AI adoption within the finance function — leverage AI tools, run pilots, and build internal best practices for responsible and effective use of AI in FP&A workflows

Your experience may include:
- Excel expertise, with the ability to build and manage complex models
- Excellent financial management and analytical skills, with a deep and demonstrated understanding of financial modeling and analysis tools
- Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Vena software
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of an organization
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, in particular, an understanding of key financial and operational needle movers
- Willingness to accept new challenges, and a high level of curiosity and creativity as it relates to new projects and problem-solving
- High energy and initiative
- Excellent with numbers, math & logic
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in finance, business, or related field
You may have other skills or credentials, including:
- Insurance or SaaS experience
- Passionate about business: you like to understand what drives a business, and try to identify opportunities to go after and risks to mitigate
Salary Range $75,000 - $ 93,000 USD Annually
