Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Perform deep senior management requested standard financial and data analysis of RP information related to passenger revenues, commissions, RASM, yield, profitability, and contractual agreements for various customer groups.
  • Work with the Revenue Pipeline Solutions Center (RPSC) and various business customers and determine clear and actionable requirements for new or existing Revenue Pipeline (RP) reports and queries while managing end-user expectations. Then design, develop, test, and document structured queries and reports to extract data from the Revenue Pipeline Analytical database (RPAD).
  • Maximize the performance and accuracy of standard and ad hoc queries and reports.
  • Proactively perform audits of RPAD data, reports, queries, and tables to identify weaknesses in RP data integrity, reliability, or technical processes.
  • Perform project and product management activities including budgeting, work planning, resource estimating, issue prioritization and resolution, and training.
  • Propose and review the requirements for new or modified RP and RPAD processes.
  • Analyze, document, design, test and audit the impacted RPAD activities or enhancements
  • Recommend business process and design enhancements.
  • Perform data validation and explain differences between RP data and other sources of data to end-users.
  • Research and communicate answers to end-users questions regarding RP data and reports.
  • Prepare and facilitate training centered on RP data, attributes, and reports, administer that training, and help drive improved user understanding through the organization.
  • Serve as a RPAD Subject Matter Expert in a product owner-like manner, including data governance and user access management. Manage multiple existing and developing system projects and analyses with limited supervision in a fast-pace environment.
  • Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Proficient with SQL and scripting languages like Python
  • Proficient building automated dashboards, reports, and analysis in Tableau, and other analytical BI tools (e.g. SAS, Hyperion Brio, TOAD, Cognos, Alteryx, AWS Quick Sight, etc.) based on business needs
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
  • 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent number of years relevant work experience
  • Proven track record of performing complex data analysis with large data sets
  • Proven success in understanding and managing complex processes
  • Experience building decks and presentations that clearly articulate key messages
  • Ability to communicate clearly to business leaders and technical developers
  • A self-starter who exhibits curiosity and thinks creatively to help understand and identify solutions
  • Must have the ability to work well with diverse groups in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have excellent coaching skills
  • Results oriented and capable of prioritizing work assignments and meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree with major in quantitative discipline such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems
  • MBA/MA/MS, strongly desired
  • Combination of at least 3 years of relevant working experience in Revenue Accounting, Financial and Analytical Applications (especially DL systems like Revenue Pipeline, BARTS, etc.), Revenue Management, Internal or External channels, Project Management, Consulting, Technical Development
  • Experience in at least one commercial or operations function such as Reservations, Airport Customer Service, eCommerce, Revenue Management, Finance or Sales preferred
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, worked within an accounting or financial system, and who has written, tested and executed/managed user stories from inception through post-implementation
