Job Overview
The Manager, Corporate Development will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing strategic initiatives that maximize value to Delta, including strategic projects, partnerships, investments, acquisitions and divestitures. The team regularly collaborates with senior management, business unit leaders, legal, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting and external financial advisors/consultants. A successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to partner with various teams across the organization to lead financial and strategic analyses, build consensus and drive business results.
Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks)
- Develop financial models, valuation analyses and returns analyses
- Create presentations for senior management, the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors
- Collaborate on cross-divisional projects with people at different levels throughout the organization
- Lead due diligence and research efforts by collecting, reviewing and analyzing information
- Assist the Corporate Development team on various ad hoc projects
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills with people at a variety of different levels
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, be detail-oriented and deadline-focused
- Ability to work on unstructured projects with limited supervision
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher with prior professional experience in finance, accounting, economics, investment banking or management consulting is strongly preferred
- Interest in effectively combining numbers and data with a compelling narrative to communicate information, concepts and ideas to senior management
