Position Overview

We're seeking a seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager, DevOps Engineering to lead and grow our DevOps team. In this role, you will drive the evolution of our DevOps platform capabilities, champion best practices, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning. You will partner with Software Engineering, Cloud, IT, InfoSec, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and cost-effective solutions that accelerate our development workflows and support business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing DevOps Engineering team, supporting career growth and performance enablement
  • Design, establish, and enhance DevOps capabilities to ensure platform scalability, security, and operational resilience
  • Drive the implementation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and operational friction
  • Collaborate with software development, cloud engineering, corporate IT, InfoSec, and other stakeholder groups to deliver cross-team initiatives and resolve complex issues
  • Oversee troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for escalated incidents, identifying patterns and driving systemic improvements
  • Balance business-as-usual (BAU) operational work with planned enhancements and strategic projects
  • Manage vendor relationships for technology solutions and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Champion internal standards for quality, security, and scalability, and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to multi-year planning by identifying future platform capabilities and recommending new tools and frameworks
  • Foster a culture of documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has the ability to work from the office or 100% remotely
  • Your experience should include some or all of the following:
  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Expert knowledge of software engineering principles, DevOps best practices, and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and monitoring/observability tools.
  • Experience with GitLab, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Istio preferred
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of identifying and addressing root causes of complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience with vendor management and technology procurement is a plus.

Salary $115,000 - $165,000 Annually
