What You Will Do:
The Insurance Strategist role offers a unique opportunity to shape and launch a new offering within a dynamic, startup-like environment. This individual will work strategically and creatively to evolve the vision for the insurance strategist role, design the framework, and bring it to life in support of Generations associates, advisors, and clients. This is a chance to make a meaningful impact and help define what insurance support looks like for HNW clients of the company. This individual must have extensive experience and deep technical knowledge of insurance services to deliver guidance, influence strategic development, and ensure alignment with the firm’s holistic wealth management approach.
Responsibilities include:
- Design and launch the insurance strategist offering, including frameworks, processes, and best practices aligned with Generations’ goals and HNW client needs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for complex insurance situations requiring deep technical knowledge.
- Partner with senior planners, financial advisors, and third-party experts to deliver high-quality Advice, Planning, Products, and Services (APPS) for HNW clients.
- Communicate effectively with advisors, HNW teams, and clients to understand goals, articulate complex strategies, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Act as a conduit between the company, the Insurance Product Team, Field Supervision, and third-party insurance providers to ensure timely, customized solutions aligned with firm guidance.
- Facilitate execution of insurance strategies between third-party providers and HNW teams.
- Leverage financial planning tools to identify opportunities, integrate insurance solutions into holistic plans, and monitor progress toward client objectives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal, Operations, Senior Portfolio Strategists) to ensure alignment and evolution of HNW strategies.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives within Private Wealth to advance the firm’s HNW capabilities and future product development.
- Shape client-facing guidance on complex insurance strategies and provide input on new products and services to meet evolving client needs.
What Experience You Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or other related degree
- Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire
- Insurance license required
- CFP® designation preferred or obtained in accordance with firm policy
- 11+ years of experience in the financial services industry
- Minimum of 8 years Insurance experience for HNW investors
- Direct client service experience as a member of a HNW client-facing professional team required
- Strong understanding of Financial Advisor and Branch Team processes, including implementation of insurance offerings for HNW clients.
- Ability to interpret and apply firm advice and guidance to create tailored insurance solutions that integrate seamlessly into holistic financial plans.
- Deep expertise in the insurance industry, including products, solutions, and strategies commonly used by HNW clients, and familiarity with their practical implementation.
- Ability to analyze complex client documents, such as statements, in-force illustrations, and personal financial statements to identify planning opportunities and recommend strategies.
Salary $120,000 Annually
