Responsibilities Including but Limited to:

  • Managing healthy backlog for enterprise tools to migrate into cloud from on premise.
  • Managing and helping multiple teams in their day-to-day activities, prioritizing the backlog, and addressing blockers to resolve.
  • Detail oriented, self-organized and capable of simultaneously tracking multiple issues of varying complexity.
  • Involving business meetings to get understand the new scope to implement the feasible automation frameworks.
  • Increased efficiency and effectiveness in application delivery by instituting TDD, DevSecOps and CI/CD.
  • Identifying customer problems and collaborating with an engineering team to provide valuable solutions.
  • Participated in Enterprise Agile transformation and coordinated Agile adoption for teams across multiple sites in the US and Internationally.
  • Designed, installed, maintained, and supported GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube, IDE tools, VersionOne and other DevOps & Agile tools.
  • Understanding of SaaS (Software as a Service), On-Demand ITSM (IT Service Management) & Cloud applications.
  • Manage and administer JIRA/Jira Service Desk/Confluence add-ons, plugins, and extensions.
  • Managed all the bugs and changes into a production environment using the VersionOne tracking tool.
  • Implement DevOps/Agile Tools upgrades, and partner with other IT staff to coordinate infrastructure maintenance and system migrations.
  • Providing required training sessions for the team on Agile/Scrum principles and techniques.
  • Develop, maintain, improve, and enforce release management standards as a common core across all solutions.
  • Experience providing training to development teams on how to track, plan and analyze using JIRA and VersionOne.
  • Create complex VersionOne/Jira workflows including project workflows, field configurations, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes.
  • Migrated ClearCase repositories to GIT and Maintain GITLAB to manage GIT repositories.
  • Installed/Configured/Managed Jenkins and GitLab CI Automation.
  • Gathered all the stakeholder approvals, necessary signoffs while acting as a release manager for multiple development teams.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Commputer Science, or related field
  • Familiarity with Maven or Gradle for project building and dependency management.
  • Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
  • Experience developing in environments that utilize CI/CD tools for build, test, secure and deploy. Experience with deploying applications on AWS using Git CI-CD/CodePipeline.
  • Experience writing automated tests such as: unit, integration, functional, performance, and end-to-end.
  • Experience in containerization developing in a Docker and Docker Compose environment.
  • Experience in Web Based Full Stack Development.
  • Proficient in Frontend UI development with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, React, Angular, Node JS.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolve problems in a calm and quick manner and display a high degree of initiative and drive.
  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills. Assures smooth flowing, timely transmission of critical information.
  • Ability to work well with others in a time-sensitive and team environment with minimal supervision, be results-oriented and capable of meeting deadlines with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience deploying or migrating applications to AWS.
  • Experience working with containers, and managed container orchestrators (Kubernetes/OpenShift) in the cloud (e.g., AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service, Red Hat OpenShift).
  • Experience with automation and test tools (Postman, Mockito, Junit, SonarQube).
  • Experience in Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline and Build tools (GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle).
  • Experience with API Management Platform like AWS API Gateway or similar.
  • Experience in Web application frameworks and API technologies like JQuery, AngularJS, Swagger, and Springboot.
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies (preferably AWS) and application migration to the cloud.
  • Expertise in Java/J2EE framework, JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, design patterns, and tools, relational DB (Oracle).Solid knowledge of cloud-native development, RESTful APIs, and microservices with Springboot/Quarkus.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Experience working in an airline technology environment is preferred.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer certification.
  • Experience with micro services architecture and server less computing.
  • Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
