Responsibility Summary :
1. Works closely with Senior Product Leader and/or General Partner to develop and execute the firm's strategy for leveraging strategic partnerships in support of firm initiatives and priorities.
2. Develops and leads team on the analyses of high impact strategic issues confronting development and implementation of the products business plan. Influences business and functional leaders as a leader, providing well-informed and strategically critical inputs to identify and recommend opportunities to yield measurable business outcomes.
a. Develops and leads on the creation of analytical insights related to products strategic plans over multiple time horizons.
b. Develops and leads team on analysis based on competitor developments and industry announcements related to products/solutions, partnerships, services, and financial data to prepare recommendations for decision-making by senior leaders.
c. Develops and leads team on the analysis, strategy and development of financial advisor facing product systems, vendors, and third party tools.
d. Leads team to understand and interpret rules and potential changes in the legal and regulatory environment; makes recommendations that help shape the firm position with respect to legal and regulatory issues.
e. Leads and drives the ongoing design and development of innovative products and programs, leveraging data and insights to drive progress on firm initiatives and priorities.
3. Leads insurance partner relationships of significant size and lead a team that is responsible for product partner/vendor relationships in order to:
a. Approve and drive execution of business plans that align with firm strategic direction
b. Accountable for the team having efficient and effective ongoing processes and controls to ensure that product literature and wholesaling support is effective (quantity and quality), aligned with key firm messages and compliant.
c. Provide thought leadership and influence the design and development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience
d. Ensures the resolution of complex / broad product partner issues as escalated. Determines root cause and apply systems thinking to prevent future occurances.
e. Regularly interfaces with product partners peer contacts (Eg. senior leadership, divisional leaders, product line leaders, sales leaders, and operational leaders)
4. Provides expert support for complex client & firm issues and support branch teams as needed
5. Establishs trusted partnerships as a consultant to business and functional leaders throughout the organization, employing diplomacy and objectivity, to strategize, influence, prioritize, plan, and deliver product capabilities that improve overall firm performance.
6. Leads broad division, firm or industry initiatives and events as needed to represent the product line in alignment with firm strategy (Eg. cross-divisional projects, internal committees, product partner events, regional events, industry groups, etc.)
7. Deep subject matter expertise in multiple product lines or disciplines
8. Responsibility for leading others on functional or cross-functional teams beyond their immediate team.
9. Leads a team of associates and has has responsibility for the development of associates to build firm talent.
Education/Certification:
· Bachelor's degree required with preferred discipline (Eg. business, finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
· Series 7, 66 and State life/health license required within 12 months of hire.
· Advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s) preferred. (e.g.: MBA, CFA, CIMA, CFP, ChFC, CPA, etc.)
Years of Experience:
· Generally, 12+ years of relevant financial services experience with 8+ years of product line experience strongly preferred.
· Formal or matrix leadership experience preferred
Functional Knowledge:
· Advanced working knowledge of firm priorities, initiatives and offerings.
· Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to provide direction, create a strong team environment and cultivate talent.
· Strong drive with ability to get results with and through others in positive manner.
· Comprehensive and deep subject matter expertise in the product line
· Exceptional emotional intelligence, technical aptitude and analytical skills
· Highly collaborative and intellectually curious; regularly demonstrates critical thinking
· Highly effective written, verbal and presentation skills
· Advanced proficiency with systems and tools including MS Office, Tableau and databases

Salary $140,400 Annually
