Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Ownership of the Repair and Support shops Product Line P&L, creating insightful reporting, owning weekly forecast process, developing long-range financial outlook, and supporting the annual operating plan process.
- Drive engagement through spending significant time on the shop floor to observe processes, understand value streams, and learn the actual flow of parts through each shop.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
- Partner with Product Line owners to gain an in-depth understanding of the governing OEM and supplier contracts to maximize contractual entitlements.
- Develop both strategic and tactical plans to cultivate a Lean culture that creates a safety conscious environment resulting in employee safety and wellbeing
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- At least 5 years of experience in a finance, operations or analytics-based role.
- Strong project management, financial analysis, and decision-making skills with the ability to
- manage multiple projects and workflows in a structured manner.
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to distill
- complex business topics into a cohesive story using metrics and data.
- Forward thinking, self-starter that has a proven ability to work independently.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills. Fosters an inclusive
- environment that values diverse people, thinking and styles.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or another business-related field, MBA.
- Demonstrated ability of applying Lean methodologies and principles in an operating and
- transactional environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of airline maintenance operations and maintenance program
- management.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and drive change in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and experience using financial tools such
- as SAP as well as advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI / Tableau, and other data
- analysis tools.
