Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrated Quality Assurance/Engineering Team Lead experience driving QA/QE delivery.
  • Skilled in using SQL to test databases and ETL processes.
  • Experience working in the Insurance industry, ideally in the actuarially space.
  • Skilled in direct collaboration with business stakeholders such as BAs, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners.
  • Ability to provide high-level estimates for QA project requests and plan team capacity accordingly.
  • Ensure timely communication of daily/weekly status reports, including test progress, milestones, issue tracking, and risk escalation to the PM and project team.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and a fair understanding of job cycles is expected to effectively support test preparation and validation efforts.
  • Oversee test readiness activities including test data setup, cross-system dependencies, and overall test execution. Ensure risks/issues are escalated appropriately.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business and IT stakeholders. Effectively communicate findings, plans, and recommendations.
  • Mentor and coach QA team members while managing workloads. Proactively identify and implement QA capability uplift opportunities.
  • Strong experience leading a team of 8+ resources across onshore and offshore locations.
  • Contribute to post-project reviews and drive improvements in QA practices through innovation and automation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of QA/QE Lead experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of SQL experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree
  • Insurance industry experience

Salary: $73.08 - $83.08 per hour
