Inclusively is partnering with an insurance technology company to hire a Staff Software Engineer. **Please note: this role is NOT an internal position with Inclusively but with the partner company.**

What You’ll Do

  • Author code aligned with internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Application Architects to confirm technical solutions
  • Collaborate with your team on development and testing to deliver new features
  • Solve technical problems and mentor others by sharing technical knowledge
  • Contribute feedback in design reviews and code reviews
  • Assess the impact of changes to identify opportunities and risks
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity on the team
  • Contribute to documentation to support design discussions

We’re Excited to Learn More About You

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience creating high quality and scalable enterprise software solutions
  • 7+ years of experience contributing end-to-end through requirement phases, technical design, implementation, testing, production readiness, and operational support
  • 5+ years of experience developing production-ready microservice APIs
  • Experience working within a public cloud environment
  • Experience with GoLang, Git, & Docker
  • Understanding of concepts such as DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Authentication, Authorization, TLS, Asynchronous Messaging, NoSQL/RDBMS
  • Ability to communicate in a team-oriented environment to clarify requirements and deliver solutions within committed timelines
  • Ability to provide feedback on coding standards through code reviews
  • Proven technical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and research abilities
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks, ideally Scrum, and tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Self-motivated commitment to continuous learning
  • Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience
