Inclusively is partnering with a multinational financial services company to hire a Director, Software Engineering. **Please note: this role is NOT an internal position with Inclusively but with the partner company.**

Position Description:

Delivers high impact content management capabilities for the Customer Data and Marketing Technologies (CDMT). Develops data capabilities and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) at scale within data platforms and in the Cloud. Develops end-to-end solutions to onboard new and existing experiences onto new capabilities. Builds and supports mission critical applications. Explores new technology trends to simplify the data ecosystem. Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.
  • Participates in high-level, cross- functional architecture design teams.
  • Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.
  • Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
  • Consults on deployment of major project deliverables.
  • Consults on the documentation of major technology application.
  • Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.
  • Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.
  • Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.
  • Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.
  • Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.
  • Advises senior management on technical strategy.
  • Researches and recommends new technologies.
  • Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.
  • Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.
  • Identifies and plans for future resource needs.
  • Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineer (or closely related occupation) leading a team of engineers in the design and implementation of Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as a Director, Software Engineer (or closely related occupation) leading a team of engineers in the design and implementation of Content Management Systems (CMS).

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing Content Management Systems (CMS) using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Wordpress, or Tridion CMS; planning and executing legacy content migration to AEM or Tridion CMS; designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available enterprise emergency notification systems, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) -- Lambda, Step functions, Dynamodb, Secret Management, and Web Stack (NodeJs, Jquery, and TypeScript).
  • DE designing and implementing Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms using Adobe Assets and task management tools -- Adobe Workfront and JIRA; planning and executing legacy Asset Migration to DAM Asset Repository from Legacy Asset repositories -- Xinet, WebDAM, Shift, or Assets repositor (Wordpress Media Library); designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available Enterprise Digital Asset Management Platform.
  • DE interpreting requirements within an Agile environment to identify existing gaps in data availability and storage; and articulating roadmaps and prioritizing the migration of structured and unstructured data from SQL, flat files, and API sources using ETL (Extract Transfer and Load) tools to be made available in data warehouses (Simple Storage Server, Data S3 Lake) for data storage and analytical purposes.
  • DE performing full stack development in an Information Technology (IT) product development organization, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment, using TypeScript, Node.js, Java, API development, Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, and RDBMS; and analyzing, designing, developing, and testing scalable Cloud based software applications.
