Corporate Counsel

We are looking to hire a highly motivated Corporate Counsel with excellent judgment and interpersonal skills. The candidate must thrive in a customer-centric team and have outstanding relationship-building skills. The position will support transactions in North America by handling commercial contracts (including, software license agreements, SOWs, NDAs, SaaS agreements, purchase agreements, and others).

To succeed in this role the candidate must possess excellent business judgment and critical thinking; can work independently as well as cross-functionally and demonstrate flexibility in a collaborative, dynamic team environment; have excellent writing skills; and strong negotiation and communication skills.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Five to seven years of legal experience in a software company
  • Substantive transactional experience with complex contract and/or licensing agreements
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Contract review, drafting, and negotiation for the company Sales team
  • Attend Customer negotiation calls and represent the company's position on contract issues
  • Analyze and interpret complex provisions in contracts and liaise with business group stakeholders
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, and be flexible and pragmatic
  • Ability to work with sales and engineering teams in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in California preferred

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $132,000 - $198,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
