About the role:
As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Agent team at Cresta, you will join a pioneering group at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence our strategic direction and product development, particularly within our AI Agent interfaces. You will be tasked with designing and implementing the frontend architecture of Cresta's proprietary AI Agent platform, ensuring that it delivers a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Your work will be crucial in creating visually appealing and highly functional interfaces that enable users to interact with complex AI systems effortlessly. By focusing on user-centric design, you will solve some of the most challenging problems in AI today, helping to create solutions that not only mimic human interaction but enhance it with the speed and efficiency of AI. This position is ideal for those passionate about merging aesthetics with functionality to redefine how users engage with cutting-edge AI technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Play a substantial role in the Cresta Virtual Agents engineering team.
- Work with Cresta product and engineering teams, build and continuously improve the Cresta platform to support new product requirements.
- Stay closely with customers and their requirements, analyze the technical tradeoffs, own the customer facing deliverables.
- Develop high quality, well designed, reusable, and well-tested system components, and contribute to the overall system designs.
- Optimize the platform design and implementation for lower latency, higher throughput, better reliability, and cost reduction.
- Demonstrate the engineering best practices in deliverables and daily work. Uphold others to the same high standards.
- Grow into technical ownership in a substantial part of the Cresta product and platform.
- Contribute to building the best-in-class company in addition to building the best-in-class product.
Qualifications We Value:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in relevant domains.
- Proficient in designing and maintaining clear and robust APIs based on strong understanding of various protocols including gRPC, REST, etc.
- Previous experience working on Virtual Agent or AI Agent systems.
- Experience in high performance database schema design and query optimization.
- Experience in containerized application deployment with Kubernetes.
- Experience with one of the major cloud providers.

Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
