We are seeking a Senior HR Solutions Architect on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Peachtree Corners, GA.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, IT, and business leaders, leading end-to-end solution architecture for Workday HCM, Time Tracking, and Absence modules.
- Design cross-module integrations across HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, and downstream systems.
- Assess current system utilization and recommend improvements, including training, customization, and enhancements.
- Build and execute implementation plans across discovery, design, QA/testing, deployment, and support using Agile methodologies.
- Develop detailed test plans and test scripts; execute testing to ensure high-quality, bug-free solutions.
- Serve as the key liaison between teams to ensure solutions align with business requirements.
- Manage Workday releases and upgrades, including testing and validation of reporting functionality.
- Identify risks related to product development and data quality, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Partner with IT to ensure system and data compliance with security and privacy requirements.
- Provide ongoing feedback to support product adoption across teams.
- Support technical troubleshooting with vendors and technology partners.
- Collaborate with employee support and project management teams on process documentation, communication, and training.
- Partner with Finance and IT to support documentation for internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 12+ years of experience in business requirements gathering, technology deployment, and business process re-engineering.
- 10+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience.
- 4+ years of experience leading or coaching technical or operational teams.
- Proven experience with full-cycle global Workday Time Tracking and Absence implementations.
- Strong experience configuring Workday business processes, condition rules, custom fields, and security.
- Strong solution architecture and systems integration experience.
- Strong testing, QA, and release management experience.
- Strong project management and Agile delivery experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Strong risk management and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and process improvement skills.
- Ability to work in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience with AI tools for HR, knowledge management, or case management.
- Experience with custom application development in HR technology.
- Experience with Scrum or Agile methodologies.
- Management consulting experience.
- Recent full lifecycle HR technology implementation experience.
- Workday certification.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with custom reports and calculated fields.
- Familiarity with GDPR and SOX compliance.
- Experience supporting global organizations across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
