A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Financial Analyst to help support their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze supplier contracts and GM systems to identify pricing errors and recovery opportunities
  • Perform financial analysis to determine root causes of discrepancies between purchasing systems and supplier contracts
  • Deliver clear audit findings and communicate contract issues to purchasing teams
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (purchasing, finance, technical accounting, engineering) to review findings and align on recovery strategies
  • Support purchasing teams in supplier negotiations related to contract discrepancies
  • Drive closure of audit cases and ensure timely recovery of overpayments
  • Monitor and meet key performance metrics, including contract touch rate, aging, and cost recoveries
  • Generate and analyze ad-hoc reports to support decision-making
  • Conduct special studies and analyses as requested by leadership
  • Interface with stakeholders at various levels to review cases and resolve issues
  • Contribute to achieving annual supplier cost recovery targets

Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong financial analysis and auditing skills
  • Experience reviewing contracts and identifying discrepancies or recovery opportunities
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to stakeholders
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, purchasing, and technical teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously
  • Ability to drive results and meet performance targets in a deadline-driven environment

Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • Hybrid in Warren, MI- In office Tue-Th, work from home Mon and Fri
