We are seeking a Marketing Insights Researcher on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role hybrid in San Francisco, CA, Menlo Park, CA, or New York, New York, but remote candidates will also be considered.
The Marketing Insights Researcher supports research initiatives across a portfolio of leading social platforms to identify and advocate for the needs of creators, helping them unlock greater value from their app experiences and strengthening engagement with target audiences.
This role operates at the intersection of strategy and research. Responsibilities include designing, executing, and delivering high-impact primary and secondary research—both quantitative and qualitative—to generate actionable insights, inform strategic recommendations, and drive measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is AI-native and brings a flexible, agile approach to market research, along with exceptional analytical and communication skills. Experience conducting research within a technology environment, the social media category, or with creator audiences is preferred. This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives that address core business challenges
- Design and execute quantitative and qualitative research to support marketing and brand strategy
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations that influence large-scale audiences
- Test creative execution and generate campaign performance insights
- Inspire product development and influence product roadmaps through research-backed recommendations
- Communicate research findings clearly to motivate cross-functional stakeholders to take action
- Participate in strategic discussions to identify research needs and opportunities
- Define research scopes and develop comprehensive research plans
- Execute end-to-end research projects and ensure findings drive business decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, insights, and brand teams
- 8-10 years of professional experience in research, insights, or strategy roles
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
- Experience translating insights into strategy with demonstrated business impact
- Experience working cross-functionally across marketing, research, and brand organizations
- Strong qualitative research experience, including ABI (Attitude, Behavior, and Intent) methodologies
- Proficiency in quantitative data analysis using SPSS or R
- Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, strategic recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience conducting research directly with content creators
- Experience with monetization strategies, including product or feature commercialization
- Experience leveraging AI tools to support research design, analysis, or insight generation
- Familiarity with brand strategy development across large-scale digital platforms
