Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA.

This role will report to the Director of Regulatory Programs and the Chief of Staff. This role involves the development, organization, communication, and coordination of strategic projects and operational initiatives within the Global Regulatory Affairs department. This role will be instrumental in executing areas of regulatory growth and business process improvement. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cross-functional teams across departments to ensure delivery of projects on time, within scope, and on budget
  • Own and manage project plans by identifying critical paths, constraints, contingencies, and mitigation strategies
  • Escalate risks and threats to project plans to functional management, senior leadership, and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate continuously with cross-functional teams to produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly project status reports
  • Ensure cross-product dependencies are clearly identified, planned, and executed
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior management
  • Identify and drive process improvements and organizational efficiencies
  • Develop key performance indicators and operational efficiency metrics, establish baselines, and track outcomes
  • Support development of presentation narratives and facilitate content creation for leadership reviews, quarterly updates, and all-hands meetings
  • Ensure clear communication cascades with cohesive messaging tailored to target audiences

Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a strategic, operational, or leadership role with a bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with a master’s degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Experience managing complex projects with cross-functional teams
  • Strong project reporting skills with an emphasis on interdepartmental communication
  • Proven ability to manage project plans, risks, timelines, and dependencies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify synergies and improvement opportunities
  • Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to operate in dynamic environments
  • Experience in the healthcare and technology industries
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization
  • High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Project management certifications, such as PMP or CSM
  • Proficiency with project and program management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, and collaboration platforms
  • Experience across all phases of the project lifecycle, including ideation, design, and development
  • Experience in analyzing tradeoffs between process design, customer requirements, and cost
  • Experience with business process management and operational excellence initiatives
  • Experience with schedule, budget, cost, and risk management tracking tools
  • Regulatory and quality management experience
  • Experience supporting international organizations
  • Ability to create structured and cohesive reporting dashboards
  • Strong relationship-building and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in high-pressure environments
