Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.

We are seeking a Talent Management & Strategy Director on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Burbank, CA.

The Director role will be based in Los Angeles and report to the Vice President of Talent Management and Strategy in New York City. This position will support the Vice President and serve as a key liaison between on-air talent and corporate teams, fostering strong relationships, addressing talent-related inquiries and issues, and supporting business initiatives. The Director will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize talent needs while advancing brand and company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including production, marketing, publicity, social media, business affairs, legal, corporate communications, international, events, ad sales, and distribution, to coordinate talent logistics
  • Manage travel coordination, payment tracking, contractual compliance, staffing, and scheduling for talent engagements
  • Fulfill operational requests for talent participation and maintain internal talent databases
  • Assemble promotional assets and coordinate with talent on social media promotion strategies
  • Track key milestones in talent professional and personal lives and coordinate gifting for special occasions and achievements
  • Manage talent profiles and engagement across multiple brands and collaborate on broader talent management initiatives
  • Book and oversee talent travel including flights, hotels, and transportation while troubleshooting schedule changes
  • Create detailed talent itineraries covering travel, accommodations, schedules, and event logistics
  • Manage hotel room blocks for large events, conventions, and festivals
  • Provide onsite support for shoots and events including talent arrivals and departures
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, talent representatives, agents, managers, producers, and vendors
  • Forecast and track talent-related costs while adhering to approved budgets

Skills And Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in publicity, agency, studio, or network environments
  • Strong ability to interface with executives and high-profile talent
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of and interest in the entertainment industry
  • Positive, adaptable attitude with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work nights or weekends as required

Preferred

  • Experience supporting talent operations across large entertainment portfolios
  • Experience coordinating large-scale events, shoots, or promotional campaigns
