Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking a Graphic Designer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role partners closely with design and merchandising teams to create original, brand-forward graphics across seasonal assortments and brand collaborations. This role is on-site in NYC.

We are seeking a Graphic Designer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role partners closely with design and merchandising teams to create original, brand-forward graphics across seasonal assortments and brand collaborations. This role is on-site in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop original, trend-relevant apparel graphics for women’s seasonal assortments and collaboration projects
- Translate seasonal concepts, merchant roadmaps, cost targets, and consumer insights into compelling graphic designs
- Own graphic execution across multiple women’s apparel categories, including knits, activewear, wovens, outerwear, denim, sleepwear, lounge, and specialty classifications
- Conduct graphic trend research to identify innovation opportunities in design techniques and visual storytelling
- Design branded trims and graphic details, such as woven labels and applied hardware
- Partner with production teams and vendors to ensure design intent, quality, and execution throughout development and production
- Collaborate with internal collaboration teams and external partners to co-create custom products aligned with brand standards
- Balance creative vision, brand integrity, cost considerations, and delivery timelines across specialty projects
- Incorporate feedback from senior leadership and cross-functional partners to refine designs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, merchandising, production, and digital product creation teams to meet seasonal milestones
- Maintain presentation boards and materials for reviews and milestone meetings
- Support international, licensing, and print-on-demand initiatives as needed
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization and time management
- Work efficiently while maintaining high creative quality and accuracy
- Adapt to varied team needs, timelines, and creative partners
- Utilize AI and emerging digital tools to support ideation and workflow efficiency
- Proven experience in fashion or apparel design with a strong focus on apparel graphics
- Ability to independently manage projects from concept through execution
- Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ability to communicate creative concepts clearly through visuals and presentations
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Familiarity with tools such as Miro or CLO
- Experience working with established apparel brands such as American Eagle, Aerie, or Abercrombie & Fitch
