As a Software Engineer, you'll integrate with one of our focused product development teams: the Warehouse Management System (WMS) team, the Transportation Management System (TMS) team, or the Order Management System (OMS) team.
The WMS team is the engine behind our warehouse management system, the backbone of our fulfillment centers, orchestrating the seamless processing of tens of millions of packages annually. This system is engineered to boost labor productivity, drive down costs, and ensure unparalleled inventory accuracy.
The OMS team architects and maintains the system that powers our innovative, world-class logistics network. This cutting-edge platform empowers leading omni-channel brands to achieve significant optimizations and cost savings through advanced automation, intelligent routing, and robust order management tools, ensuring every order aligns perfectly with each client’s unique objectives.
The Parcel Billing team champions our internal billing platform, the trusted engine responsible for accurately billing customers for fulfillment services and parcel shipping costs. This critical platform manages the intricate rating, billing, and meticulous auditing of millions of packages each week.
What You'll Do:
Architect and Build: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure systems with a focus on simplicity and long-term maintainability.
Solve Complex Challenges: Dive into intricate technical problems across the full stack, driving innovative solutions and ensuring efficient outcomes.
Collaborate and Deliver: Partner closely with fellow Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and other stakeholders to define, prioritize, and flawlessly deliver high-quality features.
Champion Code Excellence: Uphold rigorous standards for code quality, comprehensive testing, and exemplary software development practices.
Own and Drive Features: Take full ownership of features from initial concept to successful deployment, actively influencing specifications and building out robust backend services.
Contribute to Scalability: Collaborate across teams to contribute to the evolution of our processes, tools, and underlying technologies to support our rapid growth.
What You'll Need:
Demonstrable experience as a Software Engineer or in a similarly impactful role.
Strong proficiency in Elixir or a comparable functional programming language.
Deep experience and expertise in SQL and relational database systems.
A solid grasp of software development best practices, established design patterns, and robust system architecture principles.
Proven ability to effectively leverage Kafka to develop, maintain, and enhance an event-driven architecture.
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the agility to navigate ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven track record of thriving in cross-functional teams.
Bonus Points if You Have:
Experience thriving in a startup environment.
Prior experience within the logistics or supply chain domain.
Familiarity with Consumer Experience platforms.
