Job Summary:

Stord is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Area Manager II, ICQA to oversee inventory control and quality assurance operations within our distribution center. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and develop warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and develop a team of ICQA and warehouse associates as well as operations leads to ensure inventory accuracy and quality assurance goals are met.

  • Assign and oversee daily tasks related to unloading, outbound staging, loading, verifying, and labeling freight, picking, and packing.

  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, bin location variances, and problem orders or receipts.

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and guidelines, promoting a culture of workplace safety.

  • Utilize warehouse management and order management systems to maintain inventory accuracy and conduct audits.

  • Perform product counts, cycle counts, and reconcile variances to maintain shrink control.

  • Implement process improvements to optimize workflow efficiency and increase productivity.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including HR, Safety, and Customer Service, to drive operational success.

  • Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions, coordinating with maintenance as needed.

  • Ensure high-quality customer service by assisting associates in warehouse functions and addressing operational concerns.

  • Maintain records and reports on inventory, performance metrics, and safety compliance.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in a high-volume warehouse or distribution environment, with a focus on inventory management and quality assurance.

  • Previous leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience investigating inventory discrepancies and variances.

  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and order management systems.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to work independently and constructively manage stress in a high-pressure environment.

  • Experience with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) and ability to transport up to 20 lbs.

  • Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and occasional work at heights.

  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours or overtime as needed.
