Position Overview:

The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring smooth material flow throughout the warehouse and production floor. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing parts to designated storage or production areas to maintain continuous production and inventory accuracy. The Material Handler also supports light subassembly tasks and field operations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate movement of materials within the warehouse and to the production floor. Maintain efficient flow to support daily operations and reduce downtime.
  • Receive incoming parts and materials, verify quantities and quality against packing lists and purchase orders, and report discrepancies or damages.
  • Label, sort, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas.
  • Refill part bins at production lines in accordance with production schedules and kanban signals. Ensure production areas are consistently supplied.
  • Assist in basic robot subassembly work as needed, with responsibilities expanding as training and proficiency increase.
  • Coordinate and prepare resupply shipments to support field operations and deployed systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Accurately record material transactions in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP software. Complete daily logs and ensure proper tracking of material movement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
