As a senior engineer, you’ll primarily be an individual contributor, but also expected to work with stakeholders across the company and mentor team mates.

Role Summary

As a Senior Python Backend Engineer for our datapath team, you will work on our python infrastructure for ML enablement and deployment, as well as infrastructure for our ML team. You will work closely with architects and the ML team to define the path forward, and then put your Python skills to work building it out and scaling it.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement our python infrastructure for ML enablement.
• Testing and QA through to production for owned features.
• Overall responsibility and point of contact for our python infrastructure.
• Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
  
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
  
  

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with Python.
• 2+ years of experience building ML pipelines or other infrastructure for ML.
• 2+ years of experience with ML.
  
  

Technical Skills

• Solid experience with Python, and deploying Python code to production environments.
• Experience with Tensorflow or Pytorch.
• Understanding of Networking concepts (like TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc).
• Experience with Linux, containers, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with best practices for securing cloud based services.
  
  

Human Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
