Overview
We are looking for a junior Network Automation Engineer to join our Professional Services team. You will work alongside with our experienced Network Automation Engineers in a customer-facing role where you will work directly with clients to implement automation solutions for complex network environments. You’ll leverage and grow your technical expertise in Itential and network automation tools to create and deploy efficient Itential Automation Platform solutions that meet clients' needs across network use cases such as SD-WAN, switching and routing, firewalls, software upgrades, and load balancers. Success in this role requires strong communication skills and a proactive approach to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Engage with clients to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement network automation use cases in Itential.
- Build and troubleshoot Itential orchestrations and automations using APIs (primarily REST and CLI), JSON, JavaScript, and Jinja2 templates.
- Deliver customer facing projects and demonstrate solutions following Agile methodology
- Automate network processes and device management for systems such as F5, Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, AWS, Azure, and VeloCloud using Ansible, Python, and other tools.
- Collaborate with client teams to drive the adoption of Itential’s solutions, addressing their network use cases and goals.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable workflows, leveraging cloud networking experience where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal Itential resources helping across other projects, customers issues, product feedback, customer journey processes.
- Documentation skills to be used externally with customers and internally with systems including Confluence spaces and Jira tickets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 1 year in a technical role, ideally within a professional services or consulting setting.
- Problem solving, troubleshooting, reviewing log files, debugging. Being self-sufficient, but also helpful with peers.
- Proficiency in a Linux environment shell
- Proficient in Python scripting and working knowledge of JSON.
