QA Engineer – End-to-End Platform Quality

Position Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join our Product & Engineering team and ensure exceptional quality across all aspects of the Datalogz platform — backend services, data pipelines, and frontend applications.

You’ll play a key role in validating new features across Control Tower, MigrationHub, and the emerging Agent BiOPS, helping us deliver a seamless, reliable experience for enterprise users. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and strong technical capability — from verifying UI interactions and workflows to querying data and testing backend APIs.

You will collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and data engineers, along with product managers, to design testing strategies that cover every layer of the product.

Key Responsibilities

• Own testing across the full stack — including frontend (React), backend (FastAPI, Python), and data layers (Snowflake, PostgreSQL).
• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans that validate functionality, usability, and data accuracy across Datalogz products.
• Conduct manual and automated testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Perform regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure consistent product behavior across releases.
• Creating test data within Bi tools such as PowerBi, Tableau, Qliksense, Sigma, and others.
• Validate data correctness and transformations by querying Snowflake and PostgreSQL databases.
• Create and maintain automated test frameworks for both frontend (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and backend/API (e.g., Pytest, Postman) testing.
• Partner with engineers to test microservices, connectors, and data ingestion flows, ensuring stability and accuracy.
• Test frontend UX/UI workflows, ensuring a consistent and intuitive user experience across browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with product managers to define acceptance criteria and contribute to release readiness reviews.
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution using modern QA and issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, notion).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation coverage, and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 3–6 years of QA experience testing full-stack web applications or SaaS products.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and release cycles.
• Hands-on experience with frontend testing tools (Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium).
• Proficiency in API testing and automation using Postman or Pytest.
• Comfortable querying and validating data pipelines using SQL (Snowflake, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of ETL processes, metadata validation, and data integrity testing.
• Familiarity with Docker, Airflow, and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating tests into automated workflows.
• Familiarity with Bi tools such as PowerBi, Tableau, QlikSense, Sigma, and others
• Meticulous attention to detail, excellent debugging skills, and a proactive mindset.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, remote-first team.
