About the role:

Join our team as a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Team Lead, where you'll lead a dedicated group responsible for ensuring the quality and readiness of our vehicles before they reach our customers. In this role, you'll oversee all aspects of the PDI process, from conducting thorough inspections to coordinating with various vendors and departments to meet our delivery deadlines.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of our vehicles.
  • Identify and organize delivery vehicles using our internal database and scheduling calendar.
  • Request and dispatch vehicles to internal or external vendors as needed.
  • Identify or request a valid Ontario motor vehicle safety for these vehicles.
  • Ensure that vehicles are cleaned and detailed before they are transferred to our field operations team.
  • Complete detailed reports and identify any issues discovered during the pre-delivery inspection.
  • Display a complete understanding of internal and external compliance standards that vehicles must meet to move through the company's PDI process. Immediately escalate concerns regarding vehicles that do not adhere to these standards with a high level of accuracy.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to vehicle preparation, such as PDI completion rate, time taken for PDI, and customer satisfaction with vehicle condition upon delivery.
  • Effectively manage a team of technicians through leadership and guidance.
  • Conduct performance management activities and set goals with team members.
  • Establish a culture of accountability within the team by empowering individuals and assigning clear responsibilities.
  • Assist with recruiting and building an effective PDI team.
  • The working schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm - Occasional weekends and overtime as needed.

We’re looking for:

  • Previous experience in managing and leading a team.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in an automotive service or inspection role.
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in spreadsheets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across departments.
  • Strong team player with exceptional leadership and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrates initiative to develop and implement process improvements with a continuous improvement outlook.
  • Adheres to health and safety standards and emphasizes their importance to team members.
  • Posses a valid/clean driver's license (G license preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal.
  • Having an iPhone is a plus.
