Position Description

Blue Frontier is redefining air conditioning. Our advanced liquid-desiccant-based DOAS technology delivers breakthrough efficiency, grid-flexible performance, and disruptive decarbonization capability. We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager who is passionate about transforming HVAC markets and thrives at the intersection of engineering depth, strategic selling, and market creation.

Position Overview

The Regional Sales Manager will own the full commercial go-to-market strategy for Blue Frontier across a defined multi-state region. This leader will help identify, interview and onboard key channel partners across the country. They’ll need to cultivate deep relationships with these channel partners while holding them accountable to their sales goals and driving high-value, technical sales of next-generation HVAC solutions. The ideal candidate blends HVAC engineering fluency with consultative selling, financial analysis, and strategic business planning—someone who is energized by shaping markets, building teams, closing complex projects, and championing a category-defining technology.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Market Development

• Drive regional revenue growth through strategic channel partners and support their relationships with consulting engineers, ESCOs, mechanical contractors, and building owners.

• Position Blue Frontier as basis-of-design through technical differentiation, performance advantages, and lifecycle cost superiority.

• Develop and implement regional business plans focused on market awareness, pipeline development, and strategic channel expansion.

• Promote Blue Frontier’s value proposition through presentations, lunch-and-learns, site walk-throughs, and industry events.

• Build and manage a strong network of rep firms and authorized service providers who can represent Blue Frontier with integrity and technical competence.

Technical Sales & Engineering Expertise

• Provide consultative guidance for commercial HVAC system design, including DOAS, ERVs, energy-recovery systems, and integrated thermal-storage strategies.

• Perform and present lifecycle cost analyses, energy-savings models, and ROI/IRR financial calculations.

• Lead design-assist engagements and collaborate with engineering firms to convert conceptual interest into specifications and sold projects.

Account & Territory Management

• Manage the entire sales funnel—from lead qualification and technical scoping to proposal generation and contract negotiation.

• Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management; own the regional P&L expectations for revenue and profitability.

• Support deployments and demonstration sites to accelerate adoption of Blue Frontier technology.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Mentor and support sales engineers and partner reps to elevate technical competency and sales execution. Train them to be extensions of you.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to communicate field feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer needs.

• Assist in building scalable regional processes for service readiness, commissioning coordination, and post-installation customer experience.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced business education (MBA or equivalent) strongly preferred.

• Excellent presentation skills, comfortable in front of large crowds, and enjoy teaching and explaining complex systems.

• Extensive travel

• Experience in the commercial HVAC market

• Proven success selling complex HVAC technologies

• Demonstrated ability to develop business plans, grow market share, and lead strategic market initiatives.

• Strong financial acumen (ROI, LCCA, IRR, project economics).

Preferred

• Experience managing sales teams and/or channel partner networks.

• Prior work with DOAS, liquid desiccant systems, advanced dehumidification, VRF, and energy recovery technologies.

• Active participation in ASHRAE or other HVAC industry organizations.

Who This Role Is Built For

This role is designed for a technical seller who:

• Thrives on educating the market about disruptive technology.

• Can blend engineering depth with high-end consultative salesmanship.

• Naturally builds trust and influence with contractors, owners, and engineers.

• Thinks strategically, acts independently, and owns their region like a business.

• Wants to be part of a mission that transforms and industry ripe for disruption.
