We're looking for an early-career Python Software Engineer (1-4 years of experience) to join our Digital Services group, where you'll build both internal tools and customer-facing web applications using Python throughout the entire stack. Role and Responsibilities: Technical Development: - Design and build full-stack web applications using Python frameworks (FastAPI/ Flask/ Django/FastHTML)
- Create intuitive internal tools to improve team efficiency and workflow
- Develop customer-facing features with a focus on user experience and performance
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs that power our applications
- Design and optimize database schemas and queries
Team Collaboration: - Work closely with product and business development to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
- Collaborate with internal users to implement responsive and accessible interfaces
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Help define technical architecture for new features and applications
Professional Growth: - Learn and contribute to our Azure cloud infrastructure
- Take ownership of features from concept to code review to production deployment
- Help improve our development processes and tooling
Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-5 years of professional Python software engineering experience
Required skills: - Full-stack development experience with Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and web services
- Understanding of timeseries databases (TimescaleDB/InfluxDB)
- Familiarity with AI developer tools
