Editorial & Movement Operations Lead (Part-Time, Remote)
(Flexible, mission-driven editorial role)
We are launching a new national platform focused on flourishing neighborhoods—work grounded in two goals: reducing spatial inequality and rebuilding social connection, trust, and shared capacity in communities.
Our work bridges policy, place, and everyday practice. We research, synthesize, and publish thoughtful writing that helps practitioners, policymakers, and community leaders better understand how neighborhoods change—and how they can thrive.
We are seeking a part-time Editorial & Movement Operations Lead to support this work by researching topics, editing and publishing content, and helping keep a small, early-stage platform running smoothly.
This role is especially well suited to someone who is looking for flexible, remote work and enjoys behind-the-scenes editorial responsibility.
What You’ll Do
Our hiring approach
We use a skills-first, low-bias hiring process inspired by organizations like Strong Towns. Early stages focus on short, work-relevant tasks (research, writing, and editing) reviewed anonymously. Resumes are reviewed later. We are especially interested in candidates from non-traditional backgrounds who are confident in their ability to do the work, regardless of where they’ve worked before.
